The birth of DSi,
Incorporated was to cut through the prevalent barriers
to successful software development. There being a traditional
disconnect in business and Information technology (IT),
DSi found that the developing process was flawed from
the beginning, even from the business side of the company
making the request for this development.
DSi is root oriented. Others say they get to the
root of the issue and fix it. DSi believes the IT
portion of a “fix” does not go deep enough
and keeps the client dependent on the fixer. DSi’s
“deep scan” of an issue not only gets
to the origin of the problem, it leads the way into
the business side of the fence to establish ways of
anticipating opportunities, not just solving problems.
The approach is bilinear, i.e., the subjective as
well as the objective is considered in use case technology
the linear, as well as the non-linear, and the cause
and effect of the request itself. This means getting
the client outside his or her box so when it thinks
inside the box, the overall perspective will include
historical, present and future patterns and trends.
This means that the client request to DSi will uncover
hidden issues that will be reflected in the ensuing
software – quadrupling the success rate of the
product, cutting the normal development time and the
investment, as well.
